"I didn't want to run that kind of company, so I built a different one."
I've spent the last ten years building and growing brands, not in the easy categories. My work has been in cannabis, entertainment, and B2B service providers: industries with real complexity, real scrutiny, and no room for marketing theater. My brother was a cannabis cultivator, so that world isn't abstract to me. It's family.
Before I started my own agency, I worked as a project manager at larger shops. That seat taught me more than any title could, because I saw the ins and outs of every project, start to finish. I watched the slow timelines, the work built for looks instead of results, and the agencies that kept the logins so the client stayed stuck.
A Return to Roots
The agency started as Trav Media Group. Over seven years we grew brands across cannabis, entertainment, and B2B, and that work continues today. But I started watching two curves rise at the same time: people moving away from ads and toward high-intent search, and the skilled trades booming.
That second curve is personal. My father was an operating engineer. My grandfather laid brick, and so did my great uncle. My two brothers worked as laborers, and my cousins build decks.
So sharpening our focus on residential contractors wasn't a pivot to a trendy niche. It was a return to family roots. The contractors who own their local search now will own their markets for the next decade.

I also run Boheme IP, an intellectual property studio in the entertainment space. It keeps me close to the creative side of the work and to an industry I've never wanted to leave.
